Where the entries go and how to look at them.
The app page only puts entries in — it has no list, search, or report screen. Everything you submit is added to a Google Sheet, on a tab named Inventory, and that is where you go to look at it.
Each entry is one row with four columns, in this order:
| Column | What it holds |
|---|---|
| Item | The item name exactly as you typed it |
| Qty | The number you entered |
| Qty Type | What they come in — bottles, boxes, cans, or your own wording |
| Timestamp | The date and time the entry reached the spreadsheet |
New rows are added at the bottom, so the most recent entries are the last ones.
You need access to the spreadsheet. If you have been given responsibility for the app and cannot open it, ask whoever ran it before you — without access you cannot see the records.
If you already have the spreadsheet open, you can instead find the row of tab names along the bottom of the window and click the one named Inventory.
If Google shows a screen asking you to request access, your account has not been given permission to the spreadsheet. Ask whoever looks after the app to share it with you.
The spreadsheet is an ordinary Google Sheet, so you can correct a row by typing in it directly, the same as any other spreadsheet. Two cautions:
If either has already happened, see When something goes wrong.
An earlier version of this app saved entries to a database instead of the spreadsheet, and the app’s own guidance used to describe that. It no longer works that way. If you have inherited a set of database records from that version, treat them as historical — new entries do not appear there.
